Mission, Vision, and Values
30 October 2025

The Tex Group Vision is “to produce world-class manufactured products and services that deliver total customer satisfaction.” To achieve this, our mission is “to exceed our customers’ expectations with high-quality products through a motivated workforce, continuous improvement, innovation, and customer partnerships to achieve proļ¬table growth.”
At the foundations of these statements, you will find Tex Group’s Core Values, which shape our decision-making, build our culture and embed our ethos, ultimately making Tex Group who we are and proud of what we do.
To develop the right set of values, background work began on a deep dive into how the Tex Group companies operate. Keen to avoid buzz words, the initial questions we asked were “Who are we and what is important to us? How do we work? What unites us as a team? How do we achieve our objectives and how does this translate to our customers?”
To ensure the values were meaningful, rather than simply a poster on the wall, the starting point was to engage the workforce to ultimately find the right combination of values. An HR Steering Committee was formed, with the first task being to agree a set of authentic and purposeful core values. Polls were held and staff gave their input and suggestions about what was important, after all it’s their roles and their workplace, so their input was essential. Our staff offered valuable insight on a range of topics and from their learned experiences, company knowledge and individual perspectives things started taking shape. Subsequently, a shortlist of proposed values was drawn up which staff were asked to rank in order of priority to them as individuals, and within the wider picture as colleagues. From there, under CEO Greg Brown’s steer, with HR and Senior Management Team support, our Core Values were born and implemented earlier this year, being shared at our bi-annual ‘State of the Nation’ Group-wide communication. We now proudly promote these values and take a pro-active approach to embed every day into our daily working lives across the Group.
Aligning with these values, a new Reward & Recognition initiative has also been implemented to acknowledge and celebrate core value behaviours. This a staff-led scheme where people nominate co-workers for commendation for examples of actions which reflect one or more of the core values. This could be an example of someone going that extra mile for a customer to find solutions for them or identifying a key health & safety improvement in the business which can be rolled out Group-wide, or a fantastic team achievement in difficult circumstances.
Every nomination receives a Commendation Certificate (delivered, of course, with the appropriate amount of fanfare and applause). Every nominee is then entered into a bi-annual draw, the winner receiving an extra day’s holiday in recognition of their nomination. By recognising, praising and rewarding these types of behaviours and actions in all areas of our businesses, we demonstrate commitment to the values; they become embedded into our everyday actions focusing on the things that make TEX who we are. This initiative will help us all notice each other’s efforts, to lead by example, and enable us to openly celebrate everyone’s great examples of core value behaviours.
These core values have also proven to be proactive and led to development in other areas of our business too, for example, reflecting the “Stronger Together” value, we have appointed Workplace Mental Health First Aiders across each of our UK sites. Trained volunteers are now in place to promote colleague dialogue about their wellbeing, helping to build a safe and non-judgemental environment for our workforce. In turn, this feeds back into another core value, “Communication for Collaboration”; by opening that dialogue and working together, with clear and purposeful interactions, we will always achieve more, which benefits us as individuals and as a collective workforce, for the benefit of our Company and our Customers.
